recognitionRoyal Institute of Navigation (UK) Associate Fellow admission (August 2018)
Prof. Li-Ta Hsu was admitted as Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN), UK in August 2018 — a recognition of his contributions to the field of navigation research. The AFRIN designation is granted by RIN paperwork (there is no induction ceremony), and has continued in good standing through the present day.
The Royal Institute of Navigation, founded in 1947, is the UK’s professional society for navigation across air, sea, land, and space domains. Associate Fellow is one of RIN’s senior membership grades, awarded to professionals with demonstrated significant contribution to navigation research, practice, or service.
The AFRIN admission coincided with Prof. Hsu’s invited talks at UCL and KTH Stockholm in early August 2018.
