talkPolyU Public Aerospace Series: BeiDou Satellite Navigation and Our Daily Lives (November 2021)
Prof. Li-Ta Hsu delivered a public lecture in the PolyU Public Aerospace Series on 2 November 2021. The talk — BeiDou Satellite Navigation System and Our Daily Lives — was a 1-hour invited lecture aimed at a general public audience, explaining how the Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation system (and other GNSS constellations) underpin everyday positioning services on smartphones and consumer devices. The full recording is available on YouTube.
Public-engagement lectures of this kind extend the lab’s research outreach to non-specialist audiences — alongside Prof. Hsu’s later Hong Kong Space Museum public speech in November 2022 on Global Navigation Satellite System and Our Daily Lives, and the recurring 香港青少年航天創新大賽 (HK Youth Aerospace Innovation Competition) judging role.
