Keynote at IEEE IPIN 2022 Beijing: Navigation using Graph Optimization (September 2022)

Prof. Li-Ta Hsu delivered the 60-minute keynote at the 12th International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IEEE IPIN 2022) in Beijing on 5 September 2022 (virtual). The keynote — Navigation using Graph Optimization: A Case Study of a Smartphone User from an Urban Canyon to an Indoor Area — covered the lab’s factor-graph-optimization research applied to seamless GNSS-to-indoor positioning, an area central to IPIN’s annual focus. Prof. Hsu was Keynote 4 of the four IPIN 2022 keynotes (video / programme page).

IPIN is the world’s leading conference dedicated to indoor positioning and indoor navigation research. The 2022 edition continued the post-COVID hybrid format with strong participation from the global indoor-positioning research community.

The lab’s continuing IPIN engagement led to Prof. Hsu serving as General Chair of IEEE IPIN 2024 in Hong Kong two years later — a 300+-delegate event that brought the conference back to in-person delivery in Asia.
