IPNL Student Certificate Awards Ceremony

The Intelligent Positioning and Navigation Laboratory (IPNL) held its annual certificate awards ceremony to recognize outstanding research achievements by its students. The awards celebrate the hard work and technical contributions made by graduate researchers across the lab’s core focus areas, including urban GNSS positioning, 3D mapping-aided navigation, multi-sensor fusion, factor graph optimization, and indoor positioning.

IPNL places strong emphasis on student development, fostering an environment where graduate researchers are encouraged to publish at top venues, develop open-source tools, and contribute to real-world applications of positioning technology. The certificate awards provide formal recognition for accomplishments such as high-quality publications in journals and conferences, contributions to collaborative projects, and the development of datasets and software that benefit the broader research community.

The ceremony also serves as an opportunity for the lab to reflect on the collective progress made over the year and to strengthen the collaborative spirit that defines IPNL’s research culture. Under the mentorship of Dr. Li-Ta Hsu, IPNL students regularly present their work at leading international conferences including ION GNSS+, and contribute to the lab’s growing portfolio of publications in journals such as NAVIGATION, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and GPS Solutions.
