talkION Webinar: Performance Assessment of GNSS Diffraction Models in Urban Areas (September 2021)
Prof. Li-Ta Hsu and PhD student Hoi-Fung Ng delivered a 60-minute ION Webinar on 14 September 2021 to the global Institute of Navigation community. The topic — Performance Assessment of GNSS Diffraction Models in Urban Areas — extended the lab’s 3DMA GNSS research line to characterize how well existing diffraction-loss models match measured GNSS behavior in real urban canyons. The underlying research was published in NAVIGATION: Journal of the Institute of Navigation (Vol. 68 No. 2, 2021) by Zhang and Hsu; the webinar recording is archived on the ION YouTube channel alongside the rest of the ION webinar series.
This was the second of the lab’s ION Webinar series engagements in 2021 — following the June 2021 EKF-vs-FGO Webinar — and continued the lab’s expanding visibility within the global ION community.
