talkProf. Li-Ta Hsu and PhD student Hoi-Fung Ng delivered a 60-minute ION Webinar on 14 September 2021 to the global Institute of Navigation community. The topic — Performance Assessment of GNSS Diffraction Models in Urban Areas — extended the lab’s 3DMA GNSS research line to characterize how well existing diffraction-loss models match measured GNSS behavior in real urban canyons. The underlying research was published in NAVIGATION: Journal of the Institute of Navigation (Vol. 68 No. 2, 2021) by Zhang and Hsu; the webinar recording is available on Vimeo.
This was the second of the lab’s ION Webinar series engagements in 2021 — following the June 2021 EKF-vs-FGO Webinar — and continued the lab’s expanding visibility within the global ION community.
